The new cover revealed!
I am super-mega-ridiculously excited to show you guys the new cover design for Knightley Academy!
Ridiculously awesome, right? The school crest is on the back, made of stone. And there’s a ton of advance praise we’re using to decorate the jacket:
- “Steampunky, subversive and enthralling!” - Tamora Pierce
- “A fabulously enjoyable tale, brimming with humor, suspense and swordplay. I found myself wishing I could attend Knightley Academy!” – Kaza Kingsley, author of the bestselling Erec Rex series
- “Terrific fun! Knights-in-training, a looming war, and white-knuckle subterfuge made for a great read. Can’t wait for the next one!” – Dean Lorey, author of the Nightmare Academy series
I am at a loss for consonants: Eeeeeee!
In case you were wondering about the castle on the cover, it’s an illustration of the school:
“Knightley Academy didn’t look like an elite school for young aristocrats. In fact, it rather reminded Henry of a ramshackle country estate built by a slightly eccentric duke. The buildings were a mismash of styles: flying buttresses topped with thatch, turrets on innocent-looking wooden cottages, mansard roofs, and ivy-covered brick, all connected by a series of cobblestone paths that threaded through a grassy quadrangle complete with an absurd hedge maze that only came waist high.”
Do you think the cover matches the description from the book?
p.s. there is a new countdown widget for the book in the sidebar. If you’d like to use it on your blog or myspace page, please let me know so I can send you a virtual hug and an invisible, no-calories, made-of-your-imagination magical cupcake.
